When families know where their next meal is coming from, they can focus on staying housed, keeping their car running, going to work, and managing their health. It means they’re not forced to choose between groceries and other necessities. It gives them stability and dignity.

Food distribution takes place at our facility at 14080 Palm Drive, Suite E, Desert Hot Springs, CA 92240. We are providing contactless drive through food distributions weekly on Wednesday and Thursday from 7:30 a. m. till 10:30 a. m.

Our Mission

Food Now strives to improve the quality of life in the Coachella Valley by providing food assistance, community outreach and support services which strengthen families and build healthy communities.

Our Services

We provide supplemental grocery boxes/bags for drive-through pick up on Wednesdays and Thursdays. Each week’s food box contains different items that allow families to make healthy, nutritious meals.
Persons without transportation may send a friend, family member, or caregiver to pick up their weekly supplemental food.
Currently we have a waiting list for home delivery. These deliveries are made by volunteers. Please consider volunteering so we can reach more seniors, veterans, and disabled persons.
During the school year, we provide weekend meal kits for 250+ students.
Families with animal companions can also receive a quart-size bag of cat and/or dog food.

Our Success

Most families use our services for about 8 to 12 weeks, then get back on their feet. Food is distributed every Wednesday and Thursday from 7:30 am to 10:30 am. We are also able to provide weekend meals for kids. We help as many seniors and disabled veterans as we can with home deliveries by volunteers. We are at full capacity for home delivery. Each week, more than 650 families are able to put healthy, nutritious food on their tables because our sponsors and donors truly care.

Food Distribution Schedule

- Food distribution takes place at our facility located at: 14080 Palm Drive, Suite E, Desert Hot Springs, CA 92240. The entrance is on Two Bunch Palms Trail. We are located at the west end of the Vons shopping center.
- We offer weekly contactless, drive-thru food distribution on Wednesdays and Thursdays from 7:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.
- Clients are encouraged to come on their usual day and time to avoid long lines and delays.
- Clients who do not have transportation may send a friend, family member, or caregiver to pick up a food box on their behalf.

- La distribución de alimentos se realiza en nuestras instalaciones ubicadas en: 14080 Palm Drive, Suite E, Desert Hot Springs, CA 92240. La entrada está en Two Bunch Palms Trail. Nos encontramos en el extremo oeste del centro comercial Vons.
- Ofrecemos distribución semanal de alimentos sin contacto, con servicio para autos, los miércoles y jueves de 7:30 a. m. a 10:30 a. m.
- Se recomienda a los beneficiarios que acudan en su día y hora habituales para evitar largas filas y demoras.
- Los beneficiarios que no dispongan de transporte pueden enviar a un amigo, familiar o cuidador para que recoja el paquete en su nombre.

New Client Registration

New clients are encouraged to come in-person on a Wednesday. New clients can receive food on their first visit. Clients will need to complete a simple registration form. They may complete it in the parking area on their first day or return it the next week. Clients are asked to provide:

1. Proof of residency
2. Proof of income (if any)
3. Proof of the number of dependents in the home

Registro de nuevos clientes

Se recomienda a los nuevos clientes que acudan en persona los miércoles. Los nuevos clientes pueden recibir alimentos en su primera visita. Deberán completar un sencillo formulario de registro. Pueden completarlo en el estacionamiento el primer día o entregarlo la semana siguiente. Se les solicita a los clientes que presenten:

1. Comprobante de domicilio
2. Comprobante de ingresos (si los tienen)
3. Comprobante del número de dependientes en el hogar
